Washi tape!

This is for all you craft, scrapbook, etc, lovers. I have really been interested in card making and crafts so i thought why not share it on my blog. I thought i would make this post about something very cute... TAPE. Not the regular tape we use on a daily bases but tape that can be used to decorate projects and in scrapbooks and journals and practically anything! I found this website called and loved there variety of adorable, cute tape and they also had tape dispensers and stamps. But what really caught my eye was the Japanese washi tape. There are a variety to pick from with different colours and patterns which i loved. I have to admit that it is a little pricey for a roll of patterned tape but if your into it then go for it. If you want to check out the collection here is the link:  e.html?order=position&dir=asc

i love the camera roll. very creative!

Blogger of the month!

The first blogger of the month on sequins and style is Donyel Meese. Here is a short biography about herself:
I'm Donyel and I write the blog Mademoiselle Meese, that covers everything from fashion to food to lifestyle. I first fell in love with fashion towards the end of my undergraduate studies in Columbus, Ohio {I'm a late bloomer, I know}. My style has changed drastically since then, and I like to think that I've found my style niche. I'm a firm believer that if a woman is beautiful within, she can mirror her feelings on the outside as well.
And we also had a short interview with her:

1. How long have you been blogging for?
My blog launched in February 2012, so I'm still in the beginning stages.

2. What made you want to start a fashion blog?
Although I love school, sometimes I feel pretty uncreative. I would walk to class in similar outfits, and cook familiar dinners. Launching Mademoiselle Meese inspired me to style my outfits more carefully, and to try new and exciting recipes. Chronicling everything has been a wonderful journey so far, and I'm sure it will only get better with time.

3. Who are your fashion inspirations and why?
While I don't have any one fashion icon, I do love Audrey Hepburn's style. I lean toward pieces that are classic and feminine. I'd like to think that my look is timeless rather than trendy or edgy. I get a lot of inspiration from my love of classic movies. I love the simple silhouettes and effortlessly chic outfits of that era.

4. Is blogging a career or do you have any other plans for the future?
While I'm in school at the moment, I hope to turn blogging into a full-time career. Writing and fashion are ongoing passions of mine. I'm a firm believer in doing what you love, and I hope it continues long into the future.

Be sure to check out her blog!
